How Care Works

Finding the Right Care Starts with a Conversation

Your family’s needs, routines and preferences guide the care arrangement. Mont Care works with clients and their families to understand what support is required and select a suitable caregiver.

1

Tell us what you need

Contact Mont Care on 062 831 3755. Tell us who needs care, the assistance required and whether you are looking for a few hours, a day, regular shifts, 24-hour support or a live-in arrangement.

We will discuss the available options and rates, with affordability in mind.

2

Arrange a consultation

A qualified consultant can visit your premises at a time convenient to you. This helps us understand the client’s level of need, the home environment and the family’s requirements.

It is also an opportunity to discuss home-language preferences, daily routines and the type of caregiver who would fit into your household.

3

Plan the care together

We work hand in hand with the client and family to develop a care plan. This brings together the required personal care, practical assistance, companionship and any appropriately staffed nursing support.

We also agree on the care schedule, which may range from short ad hoc support to regular shifts or a live-in contract.

4

Match a suitable caregiver

Caregivers are vetted before selection. We consider the client’s requirements, the caregiver’s training and suitability, and the preferences discussed during consultation.

Where nursing care is needed, the required duties are matched to staff with the appropriate qualifications and professional scope.

5

Receive care at home

The caregiver supports the client according to the agreed arrangement, with the client’s well-being, comfort and dignity as the priority.

Mont Care undertakes to provide services in a timely and professional manner. We manage and supervise the caregivers employed through us and take responsibility for their employment relationship and labour relations management.

Why receive care at home

The comfort of familiar surroundings

A thoughtful consultation helps the client and family shape care around the routines, relationships and surroundings that matter most.

Familiar surroundings

One-to-one care at home allows a person to remain in an environment they know, where they can feel relaxed and comfortable.

Support close to loved ones

Care at home offers convenience for the client and family. Being around loved ones and carers during recovery can help lift a person’s spirits and support their confidence.

Continuity in daily life

Clients can keep familiar routines and remain involved in activities that suit their abilities. Support is intended to help them retain as much independence as possible.

Involvement in their own care

The client can take part in managing their health and daily needs with support from their care team and family.

Comfort in everyday routines

Eating well and getting restful sleep in their own bed can support a person’s health, well-being and comfort.

Care matched to the level of need

Hospital-level care at home may be an option where the required clinical support can be provided by appropriately qualified personnel. We discuss the client’s requirements and whether a home-care arrangement is suitable. The type of care provided must reflect the person’s needs and the professional scope of the assigned personnel.
